Supporting line speeds of up to 56Kbps (receive rates) and 48Kbps (transmit rates), the
analog modems connect into the phone line to establish a dial-up Internet link. These
low-cost dial-up modems allows home users to surf the Internet or access e-mail without
the need for DSL, cable modem or ISDN subscriptions.
Complying with industry standards, the analog modems perform data compression
and error correction for fast and reliable transmission/reception. In addition to Internet
connection, these modems also support fax transfer, with transmission/reception rates
of up to 14.4Kbps.
