Using the Configuration Menu

Tools> Admin

Apply-

click Apply to save changes

Shared Key -

in this mode, in order to access the DI-764 on the network, the

device must be listed in the MAC Address Control List

Open System -

the DI-764 will be visible to all devices on the network. This is

the default setting

Authentication-

select Open system or Shared Key

Preamble Type-

select Short or Long Preamble. The Preamble Type defines

the length of the CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) block for

communication between the DI-764 and roaming wireless adapt-

ers. Make sure to select the appropriate preamble type and

click Apply. Note: High network traffic areas should use the

shorter preamble type. CRC is a common technique for de-

tecting data transmission errors.

Administrator

admin is the default login name for the Admin account

User

user is the default login name for the User account

Admin Password-

the default setting is blank - no password. To change the pass-

word, enter and confirm the new password.

User Password-

the default setting is blank - no password. To change the pass-

word, enter and confirm the new password.
