create vlan
Purpose Used to create a VLAN on the switch.
Syntax create vlan <vlan_name> {tag <vlanid>}
Description This command allows you to create a VLAN
on the switch.
Parameters
<vlan_name> − The name of the VLAN to be
created.
<vlanid> − The VLAN ID of the VLAN to be
created.
Restrictions Each VLAN name can be up to 32
characters. If the VLAN is not given a tag,
it will be a port-based VLAN. Only
administrator-level users can issue this
command.
Example Usage:
To create a VLAN v1, tag 2:
DES7000:4@#create vlan v1 tag 2
Command: create vlan v1 tag 2
Success.
