Purpose Used to map the 802.1p user priority of an
incoming packet to one of the four
hardware queues available on the switch.
Syntax config 802.1p user_priority <priority>
<class_id>
Description This command allows you to configure the
way the switch will map an incoming
packet, based on its 802.1p user priority, to
one of the four available hardware priority
queues on the switch.
The switchs default is to map the following
incoming 802.1p user priority values to the
four hardware priority queues:
802.1p Hardware Queue Remark
0 0 Highest
1 0 High est
2 1 Mid -high
3 1 Mid -high
4 2 Mid -how
5 2 Mid -low
6 3 Lowest
7 3 Lowest.
This mapping scheme is based upon
recommendations contained in IEEE
802.1D.
You can change this mapping by specifying
the 802.1p user priority you want to go to
the <class_id> (the number of the hardware
queue).
