Monitored Data
Selecting Transmitted monitors all outgoing packet types. Received enables you
to choose either all packet types or one of the three packet types. Transmitted &
Received defaults the monitoring to all packet types.
Monitored Type
This option is only used when the monitored data is set to Received.
Select one of the following types:
• All monitors all packet types.
• Unicast monitors only unicast packets.
• Broadcast monitors only broadcast packets.
• Discard monitors all packets discarded by the DES-5200.
Follow these steps to configure port monitoring:
1. Toggle the space bar to Enable Port Monitoring.
2. Enter the number of the Monitoring Port.
3. Enter the number of the Monitored Port.
4. Toggle the space bar to select the monitored data.
5. Toggle the space bar to select the packet type to be monitored.
