The IP DSL Access Multiplexers (DSLAMS) are carrier-class, high performance devices
deployed at the service provider CO (central office) side. They provide IP-based
broadband access services to ADSL subscribers CPE (consumer premise equipment)
in the multi-unit, multi-tenant buildings over the existing telephone line.
