These redundant power supplies (RPS) connect to the D-Link Ethernet or Gigabit
switches to provide backup power for the built-in power supply units inside the
switches. The redundant power supplies can be installed as stand-alone power
supply units, or mounted in a DPS-900 or DPS-800 chassis. The chassis has
multiple slots that can accommodate several redundant power supply units, and
can be mounted in a standard 19-inch equipment rack. All RPS units have solid
metal case housing and LED status indicators. As they are independent units, they
are hot swappable when used with the chassis.

