These unmanaged Gigabit switches are Layer 2 switching devices that provide
plug-and-play connection for homes and small businesses. Connecting to the
existing low-cost Cat. 5 copper twisted-pair wires as the transmission media, these
switches allow users to instantly upgrade desktop computers and servers to Gigabit
capability without having to install new, expensive fiber cables. They support full
duplex operation, provide 802.3x flow control for reliable data transfer, and auto
MDI/MDIX to eliminate the need for cross over cables and simplify installation.


These light management switches present a cost-effective solution for small workgroups
to set up a network with easy fine-tuning of performance and security. They provide
functions similar to the Web-Smart switches and important for bandwidth-intensive
applications such as priority queues and VLAN enable users to implement Quality of
Service (QoS) and security without having to go through complex network management.
In addition, these light management switches also provide Command Line Interfaces
(CLI) for experienced IT personnel to do quick settings.

