Installation and Connection
The pages of the Wi-Fi section are designed for specifying all needed settings of the access point's
wireless network (for the description of the pages, see the Wi-Fi section, page 155). Also you can
enable or disable the device's WLAN directly from the advanced settings page. To enable the
WLAN, select the On position ( ) of the Enable/Disable Wi-Fi switch. To disable the
WLAN, select the Off position ( ) of the Enable/Disable Wi-Fi switch.
The pages of the Advanced section are designed for configuring additional parameters of the
access point (for the description of the pages, see the Advanced section, page 178).
The pages of the Firewall section are designed for configuring the firewall of the access point (for
the description of the pages, see the Firewall section, page 188).
The pages of the Control section are designed for creating restrictions on access to the Internet (for
the description of the page, see the Control section, page 197).
The pages of the System section provide functions for managing the internal system of the access
point (for the description of the pages, see the System section, page 200). Also you can change the
operating mode of the device directly from the advanced settings page. To switch the device to the
router mode, select the Router position ( ) of the Switch device mode switch. In
the opened dialog box, click the OK button to save new settings and immediately reboot the access
point. To switch the device to the access point mode, select the AP position ( ) of the
Switch device mode switch. In the opened dialog box, click the OK button and wait until the
device is rebooted.
Saving and Restoring Settings

Note that you should regularly save the changes of the access point's settings to the non-
volatile memory.
The access point's web-based interface displays the notification on unsaved changes at the top of the
page.

Place the mouse pointer on the Notifications icon ( ) to view the list of unsaved changes and
click the relevant link.
You can save the access point's settings via the top-page menu displayed when the mouse pointer is
over the System caption.
