With vivid QHD 1440p resolution @ 25fps per second, you’ll never miss a moment, and what’s more – built-in AI-based Person Detection cleverly identifies human motion, so you only get alerts when it matters most.

Section 2 - Installation Installation Safety Please read all of the safety and operating instructions before using device: • • Do not open the device or attempt to repair it. Do not submerge the device in liquid or attempt to clean it with liquids or solvents. To clean the device, disconnect it from the power outlet and use a damp towel to gently wipe it down.
Section 2 - Installation Wireless Installation Considerations The DCS-8635LH 2K QHD Pan & Zoom Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera lets you view video footage from virtually anywhere within the operating range of your wireless network. Keep in mind that the number, thickness and location of walls, ceilings, or other objects that the wireless signals must pass through may limit the range. Typical ranges vary depending on the types of materials and background RF (radio frequency) noise in your home or business.
Section 2 - Installation mydlink App Camera Setup 1 / Download the mydlink app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) by scanning the QR code. Note: Ensure that your device is wirelessly connected to the network that the DCS-8635LH will be in. 2 / Launch the mydlink app and create a new account or sign in to your existing account. Note: If you are asked about allowing the app to access your location or to send notifications, select Allow.
Section 2 - Installation 3 / Power on the device and wait for the Status LED to flash orange. Note: Make sure that your mobile device’s Bluetooth is on. 4 / Place your device next to your mobile device. A prompt will appear tap Add Device, then follow the app instructions.
Section 2 - Installation Device Placement To get the most out of your camera’s view and features, please take the following placement guidelines into consideration. Height: Install the camera 2 to 2.5 meters (6.5 to 8 feet) from the ground. Higher or lower installation points will greatly decrease person detection accuracy. Person Detection: Person detection works properly when the subject is between 2 to 7 meters (6.5 to 23 feet) away from the camera. Detection accuracy decreases outside of this range.
Section 2 - Installation Mounting the Camera Pole Mounting 1 / Place the base plate against the pole and make sure the arrow pointing upwards. 2 / Thread the cable ties through the slots on the base plate. Make sure the textured side of the cable ties is facing the pole to avoid slippage. Then fasten the plastic ties around the pole to secure the base plate. 3 / is Align the arrow on the camera base with the dot on the base plate and turn clockwise to secure them together.
Section 2 - Installation Wall/ Ceiling Mounting The device can be mounted on a wall or on the ceiling. 1 / Stick the alignment sticker on the location where you want to mount the camera, and ensure the holes are level. Then use a 6 mm drill bit to drill two 26 mm deep holes. 2 / Hammer in the plastic wall anchors to support the screws. 3 / Align the base plate over the holes and secure it tightly with screws.
Section 2 - Installation 4 / Align the arrow on the camera base with the dot on the base plate and turn clockwise to secure them together. 5 / Adjust the camera to your desired position.
Section 3 - mydlink Using the mydlink App Controlling Your Device Note: Screenshots are representative only. The mydlink app is constantly being updated and so may appear different. After setting up your DCS-8635LH 2K QHD Pan & Zoom Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera with a mydlink account in the mydlink app, you will be able to remotely access your camera through the app. After signing into your mydlink account, you will see a screen similar to the one on the right.
Section 3 - mydlink Video Resolution Tap to use 1440p resolution video. Tap 720P to use 720p resolution video. Save and quickly access up to 5 different camera views. The Camera Presets button is your Home Point. To set other viewpoints, tap the button, then tap the live view screen and use the arrows to set your view preset. Long press on the button to save a snapshot of that location. Point to Go Use the icon to tap anywhere on the panorama in order to change your live view.
Section 3 - mydlink Device Settings To access the Device Settings page: 1. Tap . 2. Tap Device Settings. 3. Tap the device you want to access the settings for. The device page contains several options for you to configure your camera.
Section 3 - mydlink 1 Device Name Tap to change the device’s name. 2 Privacy Mode Tap to enable. Privacy mode will disable the camera feed. 3 Motion and Person Detection 4 Point to Go This photo is what you will see when you control your viewpoint in the camera's Point to Go live-view. Tap Rescan to scan a new panorama. 5 Auto Home Enable to automatically return your camera to the set 'Home Point' after 60 seconds of inactivity. 6 Siren Timeout Set the auto-off timer for the siren.
Section 4 - Troubleshooting Troubleshooting What do I do if my device is not working properly? Reset the device and reinstall it. To reset your device, use a paper clip to press and hold the recessed Reset button until the LED turns solid red.
