Section 1: Product Overview Introduction Congratulations on your purchase of the DCS-8515LH HD Pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Camera. The DCS-8515LH provides a range of features to help you effectively monitor large areas of your home or small office at all hours of the day. The pan/tilt function allows the camera to patrol a wide area, while the built-in IR LEDs provide around the clock surveillance regardless of the lighting conditions. Extra details are captured in 720p high-definition, 1 megapixel resolution and H.

This will reset your camera to factory default settings. This is where you plug in the supplied power adapter.

Section 2: Installation Getting Started To mount your camera on a wall or ceiling, please follow the steps below. It is recommended that you configure the camera before mounting. Mounting the Camera Step 1 Place the mount at the desired location, assuring that location of the power cord thread is also at the desired location. Use a pencil to mark the holes. 1 Step 2 Using a 6 mm drill bit, drill two 25 mm deep holes over the pencil marks.
Section 2: Installation Step 4 Align the bottom of the camera to the threads on the mount. Assure that the camera is securely snapped into place.
Section 2: Installation Installation Connecting The Camera Plug the power adapter into the micro-USB port on the bottom of the camera then into an electrical outlet. Make sure the power cable is routed throught the thread on the bottom.
Section 2: Installation Safety Please read all of the safety and operating instructions before using your device: 1. Do not open the device or attempt to repair or service it. 2. Use the device in a dry location, and avoid placing it in a humid environment. 3. Do not submerge the device in liquid or attempt to clean it with liquids or solvents. To clean the device, disconnect from the power outlet and use a damp towel. 4. This device should only be used indoors.
Section 2: Installation Wireless Installation Considerations The DCS-8515LH connects to your network using a wireless connection from anywhere within the operating range of your wireless network. However, the number, thickness and location of walls, ceilings, or other objects that the wireless signals must pass through, may limit the range. Typical ranges vary depending on the types of materials and background RF (radio frequency) noise in your home or business.
Section 2: Installation Setting up the Camera Through mydlink™ App Please follow the instructions below to set up your HD Pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Camera. Step 1: Download the mydlink app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Note: Please ensure that your device is connected to the internet. Step 2: Launch the mydlink app and create a new account or sign in to your existing account. Note: If you are asked about allowing the app to access your location, select Allow.
Section 2: Installation Step 3: After logging in, tap the Menu icon in the top-left corner, select Add New Device and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your camera. Bluetooth needs to be enabled on your phone. Step 4: When you are asked to scan a QR code, select Yes or No. If you selected Yes: Scan the QR code on the bottom of the the camera, then press Next. If you selected No: Select the DCS-8515LH camera from the list, then press Next.
Section 3: mydlink Using the mydlinkTM App Controlling Your Device After setting up your DCS-8515LH camera with a mydlink account in the mydlink app, you will be able to remotely access your camera through the app. After signing in to your mydlink account, you will see a screen similar to the following. If you have previously enabled "Add to shortcut" option while installing the camera, you will see a quick link to your camera directly on the home screen. Note: Screenshots are representative only.
Section 3: mydlink Camera Options On the bottom half of the app you will see control options for your camera. Snapshot Click on this button to take a snapshot from the video stream.
Section 3: mydlink Device The Device page contains several options for you to configure your camera. In the camera control page, after you have selected the specific camera you wish to configure, tap the the camera’s name to enter the Device page. button to the right of 1 Device Photo Tap to add a customized photo of this device. 2 Device Name Tap to change the device’s name. 3 Device Location Tap to change or add a new location for this device.

Privacy Mode will disable camera feed until you disable it again. 10 Ceiling Mode Flips the video image so the camera can be installed upside-down with the base flat on the ceiling. 11 Reverse pan/tilt control direction 12 Enable Camera LED Click to enable/disable illumination of the LED on the front of the camera. Default is enabled.
Section 3: mydlink Firmware Upgrade You can update the firmware for a specific device in this section. 1 Auto-Upgrade Tap to enable/disable automatic Over-The-Air firmware updates. Note: It’s recommended you enable Auto-Upgrade to make sure you have the most up-to-date security updates. 2 Upgrade Time Tap to change the time for automatic firmware updates to be downloaded and installed. 3 Upgrade Reminder Tap to change the notification time whenever there is a new update.
Section 4 - Troubleshooting Troubleshooting 1. How can I access my DCS-8515LH remotely through the Internet? In order to use your DCS-8515LH remotely through the Internet using the mydlink app, you must register your camera with a mydlink account. You can do this using the free mydlink app. 2. How do I update the firmware of my camera? You can update your camera’s firmware by using the mydlink app. Please refer to the camera's settings page.
