disable sntp
Purpose To disable SNTP server support.
Syntax
disable sntp
Description The disable sntp command disables SNTP support. SNTP service
must be separately configured (see config sntp).
Parameters None.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To disable SNTP support:
DGS3100# disable sntp
Success.
DGS3100#
config time date
Purpose To manually configure system time and date settings.
Syntax
config time date <date ddmthyyyy> <time hh:mm:ss>
Description The config time date command configures the system time and
date settings. These will be overridden if SNTP is configured and
enabled.
Parameters date <ddmthyyyy> – Specifies the date, using two numerical
characters for the day of the month, three alphabetical characters for
the name of the month, and four numerical characters for the year.
For example: 03aug2003.
Time <hh:mm:ss> – Specifies the system time, using the format
hh:mm:ss; that is, two numerical characters each for the hour using
a 24-hour clock, the minute and second. For example: 19:42:30.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command. Manually
configured system time and date settings are overridden if SNTP
support is enabled.
Example usage:
To manually set system time and date settings:
DGS3100# config time 30jun2003 16:30:30
Success.
DGS3100#
