Product User’s Manual – Shield-Servo
5.2 Connecting to Arduino UNO/CT-UNO using signal pin.
Typical application would require a Arduino to communicate with Shield-Servo using
UART/Serial communication.
This pin has the function to Transmit and Receive signal. Please refer to tutorial of Software serial
from Arduino website for details of using Software serial. Please note that if you are using
internal power to power up Servo, dont use VM from 12V or another power supply. Please refer
to chapter 3 (Product Specification and Limitations) for details. The link to Software serial
reference is:
https://www.arduino.cc/en/Reference/SoftwareSerial
TX and RX pin can be selected to any digital I/O of Arduino. However, both these pins must be
configured as in the controller.
5.3 Connecting to External Switches
User may also use External switches to test Servo motor functinality.
Here is an example of Shield-Servo connected to switches.
External switches can be use to test Shield-Servo and drive a Servo motor. S1 act as test switch
and S2 will will reset Shield-Servo if pressed.
