By connecting a terminal or computer running a terminal emulation
program to the console port, an OnSite administrator can log into the
OnSite as root and can enter commands from the on-board Linux
command line or the OnSite CLI utility in the Linux shell.
Dumb terminals can also be connected to any serial port and configured as
follows:
• Dedicated to access one specific server
• A menu can be configured that allows the connected user to access any
number of servers
