Types of Users
Types of Users
The AlterPath OnSite supports three types of users:
• Predefined administrators who can administer the OnSite and its
connected devices
• Optionally-added users who can access connected devices through the
OnSite
• Optionally-added users who can act as OnSite administrators
Responsibilities of Different User Types
As summarized in the following table, two accounts, root and admin, are
configured by default and cannot be deleted. An administrator can also choose
to add regular users to the “admin” group, which enables the regular users to
perform OnSite administration. The following table lists the responsibilities of
each type of user and provides the default password for the root and admin
user.
