Configuring Authentication for OnSite Logins
The default authentication method for the AlterPath OnSite is Local. An
administrative user can either accept the default or select another
authentication method from the pull-down menu on the AuthType screen.

Any authentication method chosen for the OnSite is used for authentication of
any users attempting to log into the OnSite through telnet, ssh, or the
Web Manager.

1. Go to Configuration>Authentication in Expert mode.
The “AuthType” screen displays, as shown in the following figure.
2. To specify an authentication method for logins to the OnSite, select a
method from the “Unit Authentication” pull-down menu.
3. Click “apply changes.”
4. Make sure that an authentication server is specified for the selected
authentication type.
