where IP_address is the IP address of the OnSite and port_alias
is the default port name or alias assigned to the KVM port.
If DHCP is not enabled, use a static IP address assigned by the
network administrator to the OnSite.
If DHCP is enabled, enter the dynamically-assigned or fixed IP
address.
The Web Manager login screen appears with the “port name” field. If you
entered a KVM port alias in the URL, the “port name” field is filled in
with the port alias you entered.
2. If you entered a KVM port alias in the URL, save the URL as a bookmark
or in your favorites list in the browser.
3. Enter your account name in “username” field and the account’s password
in the “password” field.
4. If no port is listed in the “port” field, enter a port alias or number.
5. Click “Go.”
The AlterPath Viewer appears.
Serial Port Connection Options
Table 3-2 gives the sequence for logging into servers connected to serial ports
through the Web Manager.
