The dialog for configuring an Ethernet card displays additional fields when
the DHCP checkbox is not checked, as shown in Figure 6-30,

T To Configure an Ethernet PCMCIA Card
This procedure assumes that an Ethernet card is inserted into a PCMCIA slot
on the OnBoard and the steps under “To Begin Configuring a PCMCIA Card”
on page 172 are complete.
1. Make sure that “Ethernet” is selected from the “Card Type” pull-down
menu on the PCMCIA card configuration dialog.
2. To enable DHCP, check the DHCP checkbox, and go to Step 4.
3. To define basic network parameters that enable the use of a static IP
address, do the following steps.
a. Enter an IP address in the “IP Address” field.
b. Enter a netmask in the “Network Mask” field.
c. Enter the IP address for a gateway host or enter “none” in the
“Gateway” field.
4. Click OK.
5. Click “Save and apply changes.”
