VOICE ANNOUNCE CALLER ID
Your phone can announce a caller’s nam e or number through the speaker in the base
unit. You don’t even have to look at the display to know who is calling.
You can record in your own voice a 3-second m essage, such as “John Sm ith” or “It’s
Mom and Dad”, to associate with caller num ber in your phone book directory (see
Recording Voice Announce Nam e section in PHONE BOOK DIRECTORY for details).
W hen you receive a call from a num ber m atching one stored in your directory, the base
unit will say the recorded name instead of the telephone num ber to help identify calls.
The default setting for Voice Announce Caller Nam e is ON at sound level 3 and Voice
Announce Caller Num ber is OFF. The current settings provide you the convenience
that once your m essage is recorded the Voice Announce Caller Nam e will be in effect
im m ediately. To change the settings, please see Audible Caller ID section in MANUAL
SETTINGS section (Page 26) for details.
If you activated the Voice Announce Caller Num ber, “Blocked Call” will be em itted to
alert you the incom ing call from anonym ous/private caller who have blocked his/her
num ber, and “Unknown Call” will be em itted when UNKNOW N NUMBER is received.
