Troubleshooting DO THESE APPLY?
Problem Solution
The power LED does not illuminate. 1. Ensure that the power cord is correctly connected
to the bridge.
2. Ensure that the electrical outlet is working properly.
To do this, plug a different electronic device into the
outlet and try to power it on.
3. Ensure that you are using the AC adapter provided
with the bridge.
A port number LED does not illuminate. 1. Ensure that the connected device is powered on.
2. Ensure that the Ethernet cable(s) are securely
connected to the ports on both the device and the
bridge.
3. To ensure that the cable between the bridge and the
electronic device is working properly, replace it with
another cable.
Computers are unable to access the
Internet.
1. Ensure that the bridge is powered on. The power
LED should be solid and not flashing.
2. Check the cable connections between the modem,
bridge and computer. The Ethernet cable connected
to your modem should be connected to the Internet
port on the bridge. An Ethernet cable from your
computer should be connected to a LAN port on
the side of the bridge.
3. Power off and power on your modem, bridge, and
computer.
4. If all else fails, install My Net View from the product
CD or contact Technical Support at
http://support.wdc.com or your ISP.
All front panel LEDs flash continuously. 1. Relocate your bridge to a place that has good
ventilation.
2. Turn off your bridge, and set it aside for 15 to 20
minutes until it cools down. Turn your bridge back
on to resume operation.
3. If the problem persists, contact Technical Support at
http://support.wdc.com.
The bridge has a weak signal 1. Tune as described in “Step 2:” on page 9.
