 Select Install from the context menu of the correct outlet to open the Load Setup wizard.
 Choose Computer Equipment with installed PPBE Client software, and enter the IP address of computer or select
it from the drop-down list. Click Next to continue.
 Enter the Name, Location and Contact of the Client, if the Client computer has more than one power supply,
choose the power supply which is actually connected by the target outlet. Click Finish to close the Load Setup
wizard and attempt to establish communication.
Attach New Generic Equipment
Example: New generic equipment such as a printer or LCD monitor has been connected to UPS outlet #2. Use the
following steps to attach this new generic equipment:
 Select Show Outlets from the context menu of the UPS to expand all outlets.
 Select Install from the context menu of the correct outlet to open the Load Setup wizard.
 Choose Generic Equipment Without installed PPBE Client software, and click Next to continue.
 Enter the Name, Location and Contact of the equipment, and click Finish to close the Load Setup wizard and
attach the generic equipment.
Move the Equipment
If you reconnect existing equipment to another outlet or another device, you should assign the equipment to the
correct outlet following these steps:
 Select Move from the context menu of this equipment.
 Choose the correct outlet and target device in the Move window.
 Click OK to complete the operation.
Note: A computer running Agent is only allowed to move to outlets on a single UPS. In order for Agent to have
sufficient time to complete a shutdown, an Agent cannot be moved to NCL outlets.
Detach the Equipment
When you unplug equipment from the UPS/PDU/ATS, this equipment should be detached. Select the Uninstall item
from the context menu to open the Uninstall Equipment wizard, and click Yes to finfish.
Modify the Equipment
You can modify the Name, Location and Contact fields of the equipment. Enter the new data and click OK.
Rename the Equipment
Select the Rename item from the context menu and a rename window will appear. Click OK to rename the equipment.
Users can also rename the equipment by modifying the Name field in the Settings tab of the Details window.
