Importing Log Files Into Other Applications
If you want to be able to import log files into other programs, such as MATLAB or Microsoft
Excel, you need to have ParticleSpectrum write log files in comma-delimited format (also called
comma-separated-values or CSV files) as well as the .aps file format.
The comma-delimited files are named as described in “Log File Names,” on page 3.14, above,
but with the .csv extension, rather than .aps.
To have ParticleSpectrum record comma-delimited files:
1. Choose the menu item Settings > Output Folder. The Log File Options dialog is
displayed (see Figure 3.14).

2. Select the Record data to CSV button so it reads ON.
3. Click anywhere off the screen to close the Settings Menu.

2. In the Output file name prefix box, enter the text you want to replace the APS wafer
serial number in log file names.
3. Click anywhere off the screen to close the Settings Menu.
