Recording the Particle Measurements
You can record the particle measurement data to a log file and view the file in the Review
feature. For information on log files, see “Viewing Log Files,” on page 4.1.
Log files include the particle measurement data and user-specified data (see “Including User-
Specified Information in the Log File,” on page 3.13). Particle measurements are recorded at
intervals of one second, regardless of the horizontal scale display.
To record particle measurement data during measurement runs:
1. In the Device Controls for the device.
2. To start recording, click START. The START button changes to STOP. ParticleSpectrum
starts recording after the purge cycle is complete, or until you click STOP. See Figure 3.8.

3. To stop the recording before the specified recording time has expired, click STOP. When
the measurement time expires, or when you click STOP, ParticleSpectrum ends the current
log file. To review the log file see “Viewing Log Files,” on page 4.1
