5. After you are finished editing the registry, be sure to restart the computer to make
sure the settings will take effect.
Logging Off
If it becomes necessary to shut down the miSAN-V-Series use the following steps to log
off the iSCSI connections between the host and the miSAN-V-Series.
1. Open the “Targets” Tab in iSCSI Initiator Properties.
Caution
It is necessary to log off the iSCSI connections before shutting down a target in
order to avoid possible data loss. Failure to log off the iSCSI connections will
cause Microsoft Windows to send “Unsafe Device Removal” messages.
