Internet Communication to Weather Service
Software Unable to Retrieve Weather Information
If you receive a progress bar that says “Connecting to Weather Service” that loads indefinitely without ever displaying the weather panel, ensure that the
computer is connected to the internet. Also try disabling any anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewall programs (ideally one at a time in order to isolate exactly
which program is inhibiting Cyber-Rain’s access to the internet) or change Cyber-Rain’s internet access settings in these programs in order to allow the software
to access online weather data. There are two common programs that block this process from happening. The first is Norton Internet Security and the other is
Windows Firewall. Below is a details process to allow Cyber-Rain to function while running either of these services.
1. Norton Internet Security
a. Click Start Programs Norton Internet Security
b. Click Settings Personal Firewall Configure
