Data transfer is complete.

Read Mode - Data is not trans-

Read mode - The
controller is in
the process of receiving a char-
acter from the teletypewriter/
conversational display terminal,
or the holding register contains
data for transfer to the com-
puter.
Write mode - The data register
contains data and is in the pro-
cess of transferring it to the
teletypewriter / conversa tional
display terminal.
An interrupt condition exists in
the controller.
Read mode - The holding regis-
ter contains data for transfer to
the computer.
Write mode - The controller is
ready to accept another charac-
ter from the computer.
