DO NOT use a razor blade to cut open the paper wrapping as you may scratch the contents. Step 1 Preparing your opening A. Before you remove the existing enclosure and all its parts, check that your newly purchased enclosure is the correct size (See Figure 1). DO NOT REMOVE your old shower door until you check that your new shower door kit is the right size for your shower and that all the proper parts are in the box or hardware bag. Refer to Step 1. 1.
Model 650 Pivot Jamb (#1) Step 2 Installing the Adjustable Pivot Jamb Adjustable Pivot Jamb Bracket (#2) Note: If your shower enclosure has a curve in the corners at the side walls, be sure to measure the distance from wall to wall ABOVE the curves. A. Using the tape measure, find the center of the shower sill. Make a mark where the center is on both ends of the sill (See Figure 2).
Step 3 E. Align the center of the Pivot Bushing (Bottom) with the mark on the shower sill. Use a Level against the Adjustable Pivot Jamb to align it straight up and down (See Figure 4). Using a pencil, mark the wall through each of the three holes in the side of the Adjustable Pivot Jamb. Remove the Adjustable Pivot Jamb. Installing the Fixed Jamb A. Locate the Fixed Jamb with Magnetic Jamb Seal and three #8 x 1-1/2” FH SMS Screws. B.
Step 5 D. Peel the backing off of the two-way tape on the Drip Rail. Position the Drip Rail so that one end is flush with the Door Bottom Rail on the hinge side of the door and 1/2” in from the edge of the Pivot Strike Rail with the bottom edge of the Drip Rail Gasketjust touching the surface of the shower sill. Press the Drip Rail onto the Door Bottom Rail. Installing the Door Note: Installing the door may be slightly easier with another person assisting you. A.
Step 7 Installing the Handles A. Locate the Outside Handle, Inside Handle (with holes) and the two #8 x 1-1/2” FH SMS Screws. B. Use the #8 x 1-1/2” FH SMS Screws to attach the Handles to the Pivot Strike Rail. Screw heads should be INSIDE the shower. Step 8 At the bottom of the Adjustable Pivot Jamb inside where the Sill and Adjustable Pivot Jamb Bracket meet. • Inside of the shower from the top of the Adjustable Pivot Jamb, down to the sill of your opening.
