2.2 INFRARED BIDIRECTIONAL SERIAL
The printer has a serial interface for bidirectional data exchange. The
infrared port is centered on the lower part of the front (see fig. 2.4).
2.2.1 Printing instructions
1) Set the infrared port with “infrared interface” parameter starting
from the printer setup. Execute the ESC 02 (ESC STX) command to
enable the port

Warning: Close down infrared channel with ESC 03 command just after
data transmission.

NOTE
The led is always switched on (not flashing) when using infrared port.
2) To use the printer’s infrared port, a computer or Personal Digital
Assistant (PDA) with IR port is required.
3) Position a computer conforming to the specifications in point 1) not
more than a meter away from the printer’s infrared port. Make sure the
two ports are in front of each other with an angle of not more than 15°
on the fou sides. Send the print command from the computer (see
fig.2.5).
