Battery-Saving Tips
Manage the Display Brightness and Screen
Timeout
1. Press > and tap Settings > Display >
Brightness to modify the backlight setting
as desired.
2. To turn off the screen, tap the Power button. The
device will continue to function.

Add a Power Control widget to your Home screen.
(See “Customize Your Home Screen” on page 7 in
this guide for more information about adding
widgets.)
Manage Your Device’s Wireless
Functions
Disable the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS functions of
the device when you’re not using them.
• Press
> and tap Settings > Wireless &
networks and disable any of these functions that
are not in use.

• Press
> and tap Settings > Location &
security and disable any My Location options that
are not in use.

• Add a Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi widget to your
Home screen. (See “Customize Your Home
Screen” on page 7 in this guide for more
information about adding widgets.)
