Step 1
Locate the vehicle battery. Look up the
battery location in the owner's manual of
your vehicle. Disconnect the negative battery
terminal. Be sure to fasten this wire down
and away from the battery when completing
the installation process.
Step 2
Open the vehicle's trunk
Use a small screwdriver to pry the
fastener cover off. Use the T-15 Torx
socket to remove the fastener.
Repeat on the other
side of the vehicle.
Step 3
Remove the taillight by pulling straight back.
Loosen the alignment tabs by wiggling them
back and forth. Release the wiring harness
by sliding the red lock on the housing
towards the rear of the housing.
Separate the connectors, taking
care not to damage the locking
tabs. Set the taillight aside.
Repeat on the other
side of the vehicle.
