TOYOTA HIGHLANDER
1. Open the rear hatch and remove the
behicles rear cargo area cover. Remove
the rear storage tray by lifting up and pulling
out. Remove rear scuff panel by removing
plastic fasteners holding it in place.
Remove drivers side storage tray by
removing two plastic nuts holding it in place.
2. Under the storage compartment locate
the vehicles trailer tow connector. It will
mate with the connector on the harness.
Insert connector into vehicles connector,
make sure the connectors are fully inserted
with locking tabs in place.
3. Adhere the black converter box to the
frame of the car using the double-sided tape
provided. Secure any loose parts of the
T-connector with the cable ties provided.
4. Re-install the drivers side cargo tray
routing the 4-flat between the cargo tray
and the drivers side rear trim panel. Route
the 4-flat wire to the center of the vehicle
and out the trunk when in use. When not in
use roll up and store in the rear cargo tray.
Re-install anything removed during install.
5. Some vehicles may require the installation
of a 20 amp mini fuse in the TOWING
position of the fuse panel to function
properly. Locate the fuse panel under the
hood at the driver side and install a 20 amp
mini fuse if necessary.
