4. Adhere the black converter box to the frame of
the car using the double-sided tape provided.
Secure any loose parts of the T-connector with the
cable ties provided.
5. Locate a suitable grounding point near the
connector such as an existing screw with nut in
the vehicle’s frame or drill a 3/32” hole and secure
white wire using eyelet and screw provided.
6. Route the black power wire from the battery as
shown on the CME-PCL-INS sheet included. Route
the black wire through the rubber grommet in the
trunk.
7. The rubber grommet is located on the
passenger side of the spare tire on the oor.
Remove and make a slit from the outside edge to
the center using a utility knife. Route the black
power wire up through the grommet and the
4-at down through the opening under the
vehicle. Under the vehicle route the 4-at to the
center and secure in a convenient out of the way
location. Be sure to avoid any areas that may cut or
pinch the wire. Secure any loose wire using the
cable ties provided. Route the power wire inside
the vehicle to the converter. Re-install grommet
into opening making sure it is sealed well. Use
silicone if needed.
8. Re-install anything removed during installation.
WARNING!
Verify miscellaneous items that may be hidden
behind or under any surface before drilling to
avoid damage and/or personal injury.
1. Open the rear hatch and remove all oor
coverings and cargo trays. To remove the top
cargo tray open doors and remove four 13 mm
bolts holding it in place. Remove the rear scu
panel. Behind the rear seats remove carpeted
panels by removing 10 mm bolts holding them in
place. Remove cargo trays surounding spare
tire by removing 10 mm bolts holding them in
place. On each side of the rear cargo area remove
cargo hooks. Pull out on the rear interior trim
panels to locate the the vehicles taillight wiring
harness. The harness will have connectors
similar to those on the T-connector harness.
2. Starting on the drivers side separate the
vehicles connectors being sure not to damage
the locking tabs. Insert the T-connector end with
the yellow wire in-between the separated
connectors. Make sure the connectors are fully
inserted with locking tabs in place.
3. Route the T-connector end with the green wire
along the removed scu panel to the passenger
side. Repeat step 2 on the passenger side using
the green wire.
