SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1
Locate the lower dash to both the left and right of the steering
wheel. Pull toward the rear of the vehicle and down to remove
the lower dash (A), taking care not to damage the lower dash.
Step 2
Under the removed lower dash, located the four
10mm bolts that are securing the metal bracket panel
in place (B). Remove the bolts and the metal bracket panel.
Step 3
Locate the grey vehicle brake control harness connector
just inside the left center of the dash (C), attached to the
back of the dash pocket (D). The connector will mate to
the connector on the CURT brake control harness.
Step 4
Carefully pull the housing towards the removed panels
and insert the connector on the CURT brake control harness
into the vehicle connector. Make sure the connector is fully
inserted with locking tabs in place.
Step 5
Reinstall all removed items during the install.
Run the brake control end down to the floor.
Step 6
Route the brake control harness along the back of
the dash and out the bottom to the brake control unit.
Step 7
Insert the brake control harness black connector into the brake
control quick plug connector. Secure the brake control harness
with the provided cable ties, avoiding any pinch points.
Step 8
Complete the installation using the brake control instructions.
Mount the unit as directed and perform test procedures as
instructed in the brake control instruction manual.
