Step 1
Locate the vehicle's battery in the engine compartment on the driver side and disconnect the negative
battery terminal. Be sure to fasten this wire down and away from the battery while completing the installation process.
Step 2
Open the rear doors of the vehicle and temporarily remove the inner trim panels
on each side of the vehicle near the rear doors, exposing the taillight wiring
access ports and the threshold trim plate along the floor across the door opening.
Step 3
Locate the vehcile tailligt wiring harness on each side of the van behind the taillights.
The connectors will be similar to those on your new custom wiring product.
Step 4
Beginning on the driver side, disconnect the vehicle harness connectors. Firmly press the connector
ends together until the locking tabs engage. Take care not to damage the alignment tabs on the back.
Step 5
Position the custom wiring ends with the yellow wire between the separated vehicle connectors. Firmly press the
connector ends together until the locking tabs engage. Take care not to damage the alignment tabs on the back.
Step 6
Route the custom wiring ends with the green wire out from under the
trim panel and along the threshold to the passenger side of the vehicle.
Step 7
Repeat steps 3 and 4 on the passenger side of the vehicle using the custom wiring ends with the green wire.
Step 8
Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector such as an existing screw with nut in the
vehicle frame or drill a 3/32" pilot hole for the provided screw. The area should be free of rust,
dirt and paint. Secure the white ground wire using the ring terminal and provided screw.
WARNING
Check for miscellaneous items that may be hidden behind or under any surface before drilling to avoid damage and / or personal injury.
Step 9
Reattach the battery, and verify the harness is functioning by
testing with a test light, 4-flat tester, or a functioning trailer.
