Electric Bikes with Rack Mounted Battery
Packs and Horizontal Mounted Motors
(Motor is mounted on the horizontal plane of the wheel axle)
Loosen (do not remove) the two 5mm motor bracket 1.
mounting bolts.
Loosen the 15mm outer axle nut.2.
Loosen the 17mm thin inner axle nut.3.
Slide the motor with the motor plate forward or 4.
backward to adjust the chain (not shown) tension to
allow only about 5mm slack (3/16”).
Tighten the 17mm inner axle nut.5.
Tighten the 15mm outer axle nut.6.
Tighten the 5mm motor plate mounting bolts.7.
