5. Remove the top of the air cleaner housing which contains the air cleaner
element. Ensure that no debris is allowed to enter the base of the air cleaner
housing or the engine intake.
The housing is retained by the two M6 screws on one end and a series of slots
and tabs on the other end. The following image shows the air cleaner element
in the housing top, shown oriented as the housing top appears when it has
been removed.
