9. Remove the alternator-end panel, hood, and cross braces. Leave the engine-
end panel in place so there is no need to disconnect the fuel and electrical
systems.
10. Remove the alternator fan as follows:
a. Cut a piece of standard 2 x 4 (1.5 in x 3.5 in) to 4 inches long.
b. Block the alternator fan from turning as shown below.
