Note: Waste connections or drain outlets shall be designed and constructed to provide for
connection to the sanitary waste system through an air gap of 2 pipe diameters or 1 inch,
whichever is larger.
Note: Observe all plumbing codes. Most codes require an anti-siphon device or air gap at
the discharge point. The system and installation must comply with state and local laws and
regulations.
Connect the Brine Line

• Measurealengthofbrinelinesufcienttoreach
fromthebrinetanktothebrinetting,withno
sharpbends.Foreasieraccesstotheoatit
isrecommendedtoaddanextrafourfeet(1.3
meters) of length to the brine line. Cut both ends
of the brine line squarely and cleanly.
• Remove the brine valve from the brine tank and
then remove the white nut and insert from the
oatrod.Returnoatrodtoitsoriginalposition.
• Slip the white nut over one end of the tubing and
press the plastic insert into the end of the tubing
(Figure19).Connecttothebrinevalveand
tighten nut.
• Remove white nut and the plastic insert from the
small parts pack.
• Slip the white nut over one end of the tubing and
press the plastic insert into the end of the tubing
(Figure19).Connecttothebrineconnectionon
thevalveandtightennut(Figure18).
