GETTING TO KNOW YOUR CONTROL PANEL 12-CUP COFFEEMAKER CONTROLS Detailed programming and use instructions are on pages 8–11. 6. AUTO ON Select to program Auto On time. Press to activate Auto On feature and start brewing coffee at the programmed time. 1. Clock/LCD Display Displays time of day, Auto On, and Auto Off times. 2. CHARCOAL WATER FILTER SETTING UP YOUR 12-CUP COFFEEMAKER INSERTING THE WATER FILTER INITIAL CLEANING 1. Remove the filter from the polybag and soak, fully immersed, in cold tap water for 15 minutes. Perform an initial cleaning before making your first beverage. Follow these instructions, without adding coffee. 2. Lift the water filter holder out of the water reservoir of the 12-cup coffeemaker side. 1. Insert charcoal water filter.
SETTING THE AUTO ON TIME 3. Add Beans Lift the grinder basket lid, using the recess on either side. Fill the basket with the desired quantity of beans and replace lid. When you enter the AUTO ON time set mode, the previously selected AUTO ON time, or the default time (12:00) will flash. 1. Press and hold the AUTO ON button until the display begins to flash. Use the Hour and Minute buttons as above to program your start-brew time. 2.
TIPS AND HINTS the carafe indicator will flash, the grinder will stop grinding and, if brewing, the brewing will stop. Once the missing parts are in place and the cover is closed, the carafe indicator will turn off. The brewing process can be restarted by pressing the BREW/ OFF/AUTO OFF Button. Restarting the process will not affect coffee results. If you do not want the grinder to come on again, press the Grind Off button before pressing the Brew button.
DESCALING Descaling refers to the removal of calcium deposits that form over time on the metal parts of the coffeemaker. SETTING UP YOUR SINGLESERVE COFFEEMAKER To Descale Your Coffeemaker: INITIAL CLEANING Depending on the mineral content of water in your area, calcium deposits (scale) may build up in your coffeemaker. Though scale is not toxic, it can affect performance.
USING THE SINGLESERVE COFFEEMAKER mode, simply fill the water reservoir and press the POD button to continue to brew as usual. 7. To change the brew size, press the POD button continuously to scroll through size options until the desired cup size setting is displayed on the LCD display (8, 10, or 12 oz). Follow instructions in Setting Up Your Single-Serve Coffeemaker above. BREWING 8. To begin brewing, press the Brew/Off/Auto Off button once.

CÓMO FIJAR LA HORA DE ENCENDIDO AUTOMÁTICO Al ingresar el modo de programación de la hora de encendido automático, “12:00” (la hora de encendido automático por defecto) o la hora de encendido automático previamente fijada aparecerá en la pantalla, parpadeando. 1. Mantenga presionado el botón AUTO ON hasta que la pantalla empiece a parpadear. Use los botones HR y MIN para programar la hora de encendido automático. 3. CÓMO PREPARAR CAFÉ CON CAFÉ MOLIDO 6. Antes de preparar café Compruebe que la jarra está debidamente posicionada y que tiene puesta la tapa. Enchufe el cable en una toma de corriente. 1. Llene el depósito de agua e instale el filtro Siga los pasos 1 y 2 en la sección “Cómo preparar café con café en grano”. NOTA: Su cafetera cuenta con un sistema de seguridad que impide que la unidad se ponga en marcha a menos que la tapa del depósito y la tapa del molinillo estén debidamente puestas y cerradas.
CARAFE parpadeará, lo que indica que el modo “jarra” no se puede activar. No ponga agua en la unidad después de sacar el molinillo. Limpie el área bajo el molinillo con un paño húmedo, teniendo cuidado de no dejar penetrar agua en el motor, ya que esto puede dañarlo. Vuelva a instalar todas las piezas una vez que estén limpias y secas. 3. Al final del ciclo de limpieza (indicado por 5 pitidos), la cafetera se apagará. 4.

CÓMO PREPARAR CAFÉ CON LA CÁPSULA REUTILIZABLE HOMEBARISTA™. LIMPIEZA DEL PORTA-CÁPSULAS Precaución: Hay dos agujas en el porta-cápsulas (una arriba y una en el fondo), cuyo papel es perforar las cápsulas. Para evitar las heridas, no meta los dedos en el porta-cápsulas. La cafetera monodosis también le deja preparar café con una cápsula reutilizable (no incluida), un método que le permite usar su propio café molido. 1.
Paso 2: Enjuague con agua fresca 4. Limpieza de la aguja perforadora – La aguja perforadora, ubicada dentro de la cámara de preparación, deberá limpiarse en caso de atascamiento, usando un sujetapapeles u otro objeto similar. Introduzca la punta del sujetapapeles en el pico para desatascarlo. 1. Repita el paso 1 tres veces, usando agua fresca en vez de vinagre. 2. Esto enjuagará el sistema interno y eliminará el sabor a vinagre.
