How to Install the Product
❶ Shut off the cold water supply.
- Turn the shut-off valve (located underneath the sink) clockwise to shut off the cold water supply.
❷ Release the pressure that has accumulated in the water pipes.
- Turn the water faucet to release any remaining pressure within the cold water inlet.
❸ Disconnect the pipe connecting the sink feed line to the cold water inlet.
- Remove the riser nut from the cold water inlet. Doing so will disconnect it from the sink feed line.
❹ Attach one end of the T-Valve to the disconnected cold water inlet pipe.
- With the water shut-off valve remaining closed, attach the T-Valve to the cold-water inlet.
❺ Attach the other end of the T-Valve to the disconnected sink feed line.
- Connect the disconnected sink feed line to the T-Valve, making sure that the connection is secure.
❻ Attach the ¼ inch hose to the product inlet.
- Locate the “tap water inlet” on the product and insert the ¼” tubing included in the installation kit.
Connect the other end of the ¼” tubing to the T-Valve.
❼ Set up the RO drain line and saddle valve.
- Reverse osmosis filtration systems require a drain line to dispel waste water out of the reverse osmosis membrane.
The drain pipe is to be installed before the P-trap of the sink waste line.
A saddle valve is required to firmly secure the drain line to the sink waste pipe.
❽ Set up the saddle valve.
- Place the saddle valve in the desired location of the drain pipe.
Mark the area on the sink waste line in which the ¼” saddle valve is to be installed.
❾ Drill the drain line.
- Drill a ¼” hole through the marked area for the saddle valve. Drill through one side only.
Do not drill all the way through the other side of the pipe.
❿ Align the saddle valve with the drain line hole.
- Align the saddle valve with the drain line hole so that the ¼” hole matches up with the opening of the saddle valve.
Use a section of the tubing or a drill bit to ensure the holes are aligned.
Install the saddle valve.
- With the saddle valve and the drain line hole aligned, secure the saddle valve clamps in place.
Ensure that the holes are still aligned before tightly securing the saddle valve nuts.
Install the drain line.
- Install the drain line by connecting on end of the ¼” tubing to the waste water outlet of the product.
Connect the other end to the saddle valve. Ensure that the tubing is securely fastened.
Connect the RO storage tank to the product.
- As shown in the diagram above, use the ¼” tubing to connect the tank outlet of the product with the RO storage tank.
(Until you have reached Step 17, “Flush the Filters”, keep the Water Storage Tank Valve closed.)
Connect the product to the faucet.
- As shown in the diagram above, use the ¼” tubing to connect the purified water outlet of the product with the sink faucet.
Ensure that all connections are secure.
- In order avoid leaks, ensure that all valves, tubing, and connections are secure and air tight.
Turn on the cold water valve.
- Reopen the cold water inlet valve by turning it counterclockwise.
This will allow water to flow through the filters and into the product. Ensure that there are no leaks.
Flush the filters.
- Flush the filters by turning the faucet on and letting the water run for 5 minutes.
