Spindle overhaul
To rebuild a spindle:
1. Remove the spindle by following the procedures
described in the spindle removal section of this
chapter.
2. Slide the spindle shaft and pulley out of the spindle
housing.
3. Remove the upper bearing protector.
4. Remove the upper bearing seal. See Figure 8.17.
5. Remove the upper bearing.
6. Remove the spacer. See Figure 8.19.
