II. OPERATINGONA SLOPE
Slopesare a majorfactorrelatedto slip
andfall accidentswhichcan resultin
severeinjury. All slopesrequireextra
caution.If youfeel uneasyona slope,
donotmowit.
DO:
Mowacrossthe face of slopes;never
upanddown, Exerciseextreme
cautionwhen changingdirectionon
slopes.Avoid slopesgreaterthan 15°.
Removeobjectssuch as rocks,tree
limbs, etc.
Watchfor holes,ruts, or bumps.Tall
grasscanhideobstacles.
DONOT:
Do notmowneardrop-offs,ditches,
or embankments.Theoperatorcould
loosefooting or balance.
Do notmow excessivelysteepslopes.
Onnotmow on wetgrass.Reduced
footing could causeslipping.
III. CHILDREN
Tragicaccidentscanoccuril the
operatoris notalertto the presenceof
children.Childrenare oftenattractedto
the mowerandto the mowingactivity.
Neverassumethat childrenwill remain
whereyoulast sawthem.

Keepmowerfree of grass,leavesor
otherdebrisbuild-up.Cleanupoilor
fuel spillage.Allow mowertocool
beforestoring.
Do not changetheenginegovernor
setting or overspeedtheengine.
Do not touch enginepartswhich may
behot from operation.Allowpartsto
cool completelybefore inspecting,
cleaningor repairingthe mower.
