Match Speed
To Terrain and Conditions
Adjust the speedto grass conditionsand
terrain. UseLewand Mediumspeedsfor
normal mowingconditions. You'll get
betterresultsat slowerspeeds,especially
if the grassis tall or lush. UseHighspeed
to transport the moweror when grass
conditionsarelight andappearanceis not
as important.
KeepMowerBlade Sharp
A sharpbladecutsthe grasscleanly,
resultingin a smooth,evenlycut lawn. A
dull bladetearsatthe grassandwill fray
the tips so that theydry out quickly
resultingin a dull, brown-lookinglawn.

Mulching Leaves
A light coveringof leavescanbeeffec-
tively mulchedinto the turf. As the leaves
decompose,theyprovide valuableorganic
matter andmineralsto thesoil.
To ensureeffective mulching,besure the
leavesaredry. Usea slow travelspeed
anddon't try to mulcha deeplayerof
leaves.
NOTE:Oakleavesareacidic andmay
affectthesoil pH levelwhenmulched. A
pH soil test should beused if oak leaves
areabundanton your property.
