Hood components: grill removal
1. Remove the hood assembly from the tractor, and
place it on a stable work surface.
2. Loosen, but do not remove the screws that hold the
upper corners of the grill to the hood using a 3/8”
wrench.
See Figure 4.8.
3. Remove the two screws that hold the pivot bracket
and grill to the hood assembly using a 1/2” wrench.
See Figure 4.9.
4. Once removed, the headlight lens may be removed
for cleaning by carefully prying the two lock tabs at
the inner edge.
See Figure 4.10.
NOTE: The locating tab at the outer edge of each lens has
no locking feature.
5. Assemble and install the grill by reversing the steps
used to remove it.
Tighten the small screws to a torque of 15-35 in-
lbs. (1.7-4.0 N-m).
Tighten the large screws to a torque of 35-50 in-lbs
(4.0-5.7 N-m).
