PRODUCT CARE
Problem Cause Remedy
Engine does not
restart when
warm
1. Poor quality fuel

1. Refer to Service manual. Ensure the unit contains at least 1/4 tank of
clean fuel.
2. Contact your local authorized dealer for service.

Entire electrical
system does not
work
1. Blown fuse
2. Loose or
corroded connections
3. Dead or faulty battery
1. Visually and mechanically inspect all fuses. Replace any blown fuses
with the same type and ratings as the blown fuse. Should the fuse
blow again, contact your local authorized dealer for service.
2. Battery terminals only. While wearing safety glasses, remove and
clean the battery connections using a wire brush or battery terminal
cleaner. Reinstall the connections, and ensure they are tight by
attempting to “shake/move” them side to side. The connections
should not move or rotate. Thoroughly wash hands after cleaning
or reinstallation.
3. Check battery voltage.
Dead battery 1. Shorted starter solenoid
2. Key switch not turned to
STOP position
3. Faulty battery
1. Contact your local authorized dealer for service.
2. Turn the ignition key to the “OFF” position and charge the battery.
3. Contact your local authorized dealer for load testing/servicing.
Battery will not
take a charge
1. Dead battery
2. Loose or

2. Apply additional pressure to the brake pedal to fully engage the
parking brake safety switch. Adjustments shall only be completed by
your local authorized dealer.
3. Depress the brake pedal and engage the parking brake. Turn the unit
off and then back on.
Indicator lights do
not come on when
key switch is in
START position
1. Battery needs charged.
2. Faulty display or wiring.
1. Check the battery voltage and see if the unit will start. If the unit
starts, contact your local authorized dealer for service.

Engine runs
unevenly
1. Spark plug is fouled.
2. Air cleaner element plugged.
3. Improper or stale fuel.
4. Loose electrical connections.
5. Fuel line, filter or
injector clogged.
1. Check all components in the order listed.
2. Clean or replace the spark plug. Ensure the gap is set properly.
3. Clean or replace the filter. Ensure the enclosure is properly closed
after cleaning/replacing.
4. Ensure the unit is at least 1/4 full of proper, fresh, clean fuel.
5. With the unit parked on a level surface, turned off, and cool, ensure
all visible electrical connections are secure.
Additional checks shall be performed by your local authorized dealer.
