Old vs. New Pump
EFI
New EFI Fuel Pumps (24 393 52-S)
Starting in March 2008, all EFI engines have been built with
fuel pumps from a new supplier. Testing has proven the new
SXPSLVPRUHUREXVWLQERWKDLUDQGOLTXLGFRROHGHQJLQHV
The new pump is similar in size and design and will
interchange as Part No. 24 393 20-S supersedes to Part
No. 24 393 52-S.

We have received several calls from our service network
regarding new Command Single engines that are hard to

An internal inspection of other singles built in that time
period, as well as a check of our stock, did not reveal any
additional cause for concern. The serial numbers on the two
XQLWVWKDWZHUHLGHQWL¿HGDUH3802107051 and 3803703561,
or from January 21
st
to February 6
th
.
If you have a unit with a serial number in that range
exhibiting the symptoms described, check the fuel pump
for the correct number. It is stamped on the pump itself and
should indicate Part No. 12 393 11. The incorrect pump will
indicate a stamping of Part No. 47 393 67.
Replace any incorrect fuel pumps with Part No. 12 559 02-S.
