Decal Reminder
When placing the decal for the short
EORFNPDNHVXUHLWLVDI¿[HGnext to the
original engine decal, not over it.
The original engine information will be
required when servicing any external
components.

to compensate for the lighter moving parts.

New Balance System Incorporated into Short Blocks
Beginning September 16, 2008 a new balance system with a common bore size was implemented
IRUXVHRQWKH&RXUDJHVLQJOHF\OLQGHUHQJLQH6KRUWEORFNVXVLQJWKHVHVDPHFRQ¿JXUDWLRQVDUH
being assembled to service engines built before and after that date.
In order to keep the older engines emission compliant, the new short blocks for the SV470-540 will
include a matching carburetor which must be installed as part of the repair.
