SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
AUGER BELT REPLACEMENT
To remove and replace auger belt, proceed as follows:
1. Allow engine to run until it is out of fuel. Do not attempt to
drain fuel from engine. Remove safety key or disconnect
spark plug wire.
2. Remove plastic belt cover on front of engine by removing two
self-tapping screws (a) (Figure 73).

NOTE: On models equipped with the LED light bar on top of
the auger housing, make sure to unplug the wire harness
before removing the belt cover (Figure 74).

3. Roll auger belt off engine pulley (Figure 75).

AUGER SHAFT
At least once a season, remove shear pins (a) and cotter pins
(b) from auger shaft(s). Spray lubricant inside shaft and around
spacers and flange bearings found at either end of shaft(s)
(Figure 71).

IMPORTANT: On 3-stage models, there is an additional shear
pin in the rear accelerator.
Service
CONTINUOUS TRACKS
The snow blower is equipped with an auto-tensioner on both the
left and right sides. The system is designed to maintain constant
tension on both tracks. However, if the snow blower fails to
propel itself because the track wheel is “jumping” drive lugs,
the tracks are too loose and are in need of adjustment. See an
authorized Service Dealer to have the tracks properly adjusted.
