Mount Assembly on Tractor
For the following models, follow the instructions in 1a:
• 17AF5BHH010 • 17AF5GHD010
• 17AF5BHB010 • 17AF5BHB056
• 17AF5GHC010 • 17AF5BHB210
1a. Attach the mounting bracket assembly and the muffler
shield to the rear of the tractor, as shown in Fig. 4-3, by
aligning the muffler shield and the mounting bracket with
the holes provided on your tractor. Secure the mounting
bracket on the outside of the tractor frame, and the muffler
shield in the top holes on the inside of the tractor frame
using four 710-0276 carriage bolts, found in hardware pack
689-00160. Feed the carriage bolts through the mounting
bracket first, then tractor frame, and finally the muffler
shield. Secure with four 712-04063 flange lock nuts.
Note: The muffler shield mounts on the inside of the tractor
frame, in the top holes with the flange of the muffler shield
facing downward. In its correct position, the muffler shield
will be angled downward as well.
For installation on the following Cub Cadet Pro Commercial
Tractors, follow the instructions in 1b:

1b. Attach the mounting bracket assembly to the rear of the
tractor, as shown in Fig. 4-3, by aligning the mounting
bracket with the holes provided in the tractor frame. Secure
the mounting bracket assembly to the outside of the tractor
frame, using four 710-0276 carriage bolts, found in hardware
pack 689-00160, fed through the mounting bracket
assembly, then the tractor frame, and secure with four 712-
04063 flange lock nuts.
Note: The muffler shield Is not necessary, and will not fit, on
Cub Cadet Pro Commercial Z-forceS models, with cylindrical
style mufflers. Please disregard the muffler shield.
NOTE: References to left, right, front and rear of the tractor are
from the operator’s position, unless otherwise stated.
• Before assembly, place the tractor on a firm, level surface,
disengage the PTO, stop the tractor engine and set the
parking brake.
• For convenience, pivot the seat forward and leave it in
that position until the grass collector is fully mounted and
assembled.
Assembling The Support Assembly
Locate the upright support bracket and the bag support
assembly. Assemble it by following these steps:
1. Lay the bag support assembly topside down with the
mounting bracket portion facing upwards.
2. Insert the notched end of the upright support bracket into
the bag support assembly, as in Fig. 4-1.
3. Secure with a 5/16-18 carriage bolt and 5/16-18 flange lock nut
included with the upright support bracket. See Fig. 4-2.
