1 To The Owner Thank You Thank you for purchasing a Cub Cadet bagging attachment. It was carefully engineered to provide excellent performance when properly operated and maintained. Please read this entire manual prior to operating the equipment. It instructs you how to safely and easily set up, operate and maintain your equipment. Please be sure that you, and any other persons who will operate the machine, carefully follow the recommended safety practices at all times.

3. Go slow and avoid maneuvers which could result in a loss of tire traction. A loss of tire traction can result in a loss of control of the machine. 4. Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for wheel weights or counterweights to improve stability. 5. Keep all movement on the slopes slow and gradual. Remove this page and fold along the dashed line. 2. Locate a vertical object on or behind the slope (e.g. a pole, building, fence, tree, etc.) 3. Align either side of the slope gauge with the object (See Figure 1 and Figure 2 ). 4. Adjust gauge up or down until the left corner touches the slope (See Figure 1 and Figure 2). 5.
3 Contents of Carton Before beginning installation, remove all parts from the carton to make sure everything is present. Carton contents are listed below and shown in Fig. 3-1. Two hardware packs are included in this kit and are detailed on the following page.
CONTENTS OF HARDWARE PACK This grass collector kit is shipped with two loose hardware packs enclosed and one set of hardware included in the mounting bracket kit. Please check your hardware packs against the illustrations below. The quantities for each item is listed in parenthesis.
4 Assembly & Installation NOTE: References to left, right, front and rear of the tractor are from the operator’s position, unless otherwise stated. • • Before assembly, place the tractor on a firm, level surface, disengage the PTO, stop the tractor engine and set the parking brake. For convenience, pivot the seat forward and leave it in that position until the grass collector is fully mounted and assembled. Mount Assembly on Tractor For the following models, follow the instructions in 1a: 1a.
4. Install the bagger hanger assembly onto the mounting assembly on the tractor by hooking it over the hitch plate, as shown in Fig. 4-4. Align the hanger assembly with the hole just to the right of the center hole, as detailed in the inset of Fig. 4-4. Assembling Remaining Bagger Components Now that the mounting brackets are assembled and are in place on the tractor, follow these steps to assemble the remaining bagger components. 1.

Install the appropriate deck baffle (for 48-, 54- or 60-inch deck) utilizing the holes already provided in the mowing deck, as seen in Fig.
Assembling The Discharge Chute Elbow Assemble the Upper Discharge Chute Locate the boot mount plate and chute elbow, packaged with your loose parts in this carton. Attach the boot mount plate to the chute elbow: 1. 1. Insert five 710-0751 hex bolts from hardware pack 68900159 down through the boot mount plate and Chute Elbow. See Fig. 4-15.
Installing the Discharge Chute 1. Lift the chute deflector up (1) and place the chute elbow along the opening on the cutting deck of the mower. 2. Slide the two ends of the boot mount, attached to the discharge chute elbow, under the chute deflector mounting bracket, beginning with the front portion of the bracket (2) and rocking the back portion into place (3). Follow direction of arrows in Figure 4-19.
